My name is Sarah Minarik and I am a 40-year old mother of one. A foggy Bay Area native, I am constantly seeking shade in sunny San Diego. I have worked in public education, community building, sustainable supply-chains, marketing and business development. Most recently I was the Communications Director for the San Diego Mycological Society and I am back in school working on a dual degree in Graphic & Interaction Design. My passions are varied and are currently concentrated on orienteering, photography, natural dyeing, mycology, hiking, exploring and finding new places to nap.

Iā€™m learning to live slower

To soak in sun rays and meditate on mycelium

Iā€™m finding ways to share the beauty I find in these slower moments

Because going slow is revolutionary in times where speed and productivity are revered

And our worth is only as much as our output

We are all inherently worthy of being

In our soft, stretched, scarred and wrinkled skin

And I want to honor our beingness by revering the tiny things

The things we miss when we go too fast

Keep up to date with my wanderings on
